September is upon us ...can you believe it dreamers?!

We’ve survived ‘Aggro August’ as it can be known here in Ibiza - where the population of the island rockets to on average of 2 million (as opposed to the approximate 200,000 year round residents.) The sun sizzles as it beats down and the roads, beaches and clubs roar with the hoards.

For now, the madness has subsided...it’s getting cooler and quieter and the sun sets earlier and earlier. We’re in that lovely little lul post peak season/pre-closing parties. You can literally feel the shift of energy in the air. Whilst many sigh with relief at surviving the chaos, others - who literally couldn’t handle the heat have already gone home. Not us!

In Your Dreams Ibiza LOVE August. Not only does our Biodegradable Glitter stick really well to the relentless sweat seeping from every pore at all times ;) ...but we’ve also had the pleasure of being invited to glitter the guests of some seriously special Ibiza events.

Our favourite of which is undoubtedly Midsommar! The brainchild of Secret Garden Party creator Jo Vidler. Held at the next-level stunning Cova Santa, in conjunction with Absolut and Elrow. WOW! That right there are the ingredients for a truly intoxicating cocktail. With the fun and frivolity of a British festival (there was even a bake-off and maypole dancing!) set overlooking the jaw dropping ibicencan countryside of rolling hills in the summer haze. The production and theatrics that Elrow is famous for - all washed down with the slickest drinks by Absolute. Oh, and then there’s the line up… almost too many to mention; the highlights for us being Damian Lazarus, 2 Many Djs, Crazy P and the incredible percussion skills of our Dreamer Lettice Rowbotham.

We set up our IN YOUR DREAMS glamstation in our own private Balinese inspired hut, surrounded by gorgeous animal statues… and even Ganesh wore a flower crown! Alongside our IN YOUR DREAMS gems and Bio-glitter we added Face Florals to our usual unique designs; so that our faces were in bloom and in keeping with the blossoming theme of the event.

Lettice wowed the crowds with her performances of the night and all of the dancers and even mixologists were Dreamers! In Your Dreams Ibiza Team Roisin O’Neil, Therese Corless, KC Clarke and I worked non-stop from the afternoon right into the night to add some sparkle to the never-ending queue of festival-goers. IN YOUR DREAMS is the original festival makeover company after all; making this brand new type of event to Ibiza the perfect match for our innovative concept.

We so hope this will be an annual fiesta, as Midsommar was truly the highlight of our Summer. Can we have some more Victoria Sponge please? :)

We have also had the pleasure of setting up pitch at the institution that is Pikes Hotel for Cosmic Pineapple again this summer. ‘A journey through 7 chakras… a place of connection to the self, the other, the earth and everything that exists.’ The events are for charity, and all admission fees are donations, to then enjoy for free this holistic haven of yoga, sound healing, inspirational talks...crescendo-ing into a Cosmic rave to end the night on a high.

With a different theme for each of the 4 nights - Awaken, Creativity, Transformation and Love. The Cosmic Bizzare is pitched on Pikes’ famous pink tennis courts with all manor of trinkets handmade by crafty islanders. In Your Dreams Ibiza providing the face paint, gems and Biodegradable Glitter to get everyone super sparkly. Jo Youle who recently interviewed Cosmic’s creator Kim Booth for her podcast The Reset Rebel, also taught her Joga Beats Yoga at two of the events - only after we got our hands on her of course! :)

So alongside our weekly club night residencies at Hï Ibiza for Glitterbox and Rumors at Destino, neverending weddings, hen parties, villa parties and private clients, these are two of many highlights this season but by far the most ethereal events we had the absolute pleasure to attend.

I’m off to enjoy the September calm before the storm… who’s coming for closings?!
