IN YOUR DREAMS: 2018 Roundup

Wow, another incredible year filled with so many exciting events, festivals and launches! Here are some of our favourite moments of 2018 from both our UK team and Ibiza teams!

The Ibiza crew kickstarted the year by getting some winter sun in Thailand where they hosted a takeover from the Jungle Club; an absolutely beautiful boutique resort and restaurant on the island of Koh Samui.

To bring some fresh products for the new season we introduced three Coachella inspired products; the Golden Valley chestpiece, Desert Dusk headpiece and eye jewels and our innovative shade of Golden Mirage Biodegradable Glitter. We teamed up with the amazing Island Tribe where we used our latest products on some gorgeous influencers attending Coachella at an incredible event in Palm Springs.

To kick off the start of the Season in Ibiza we had our annual glamstation at the Atzaro Primavera Festival which is run by non-profit association Atzaro Fundraising and raises money for local charities and environmental organisations. Primavera saw a wide range of performances by DJ's and live bands. As ever, our team had an amazing time making over the guests at this special start to the summer! 

We loved being part of Mecca's brand new festival MECCALAND! This amazing festival in Australia showcased the world's hottest beauty brands and we were so excited to be able to showcase our brand and give free IN YOUR DREAMS makeovers to the festival-goers!

In April we launched two new products from our Waking Illusion Collection; Blue Ariel and Pink Azalea! Perfect for the festival season, these new products flew off our shelves and we received so many great photos from our customers wearing them. 

In May our London team headed out to Ibiza HQ for a big team training day, where we delved into our bio glitter and gems...all captured on film by @hattiephotography HERE. ASOS crashed the party, as they came over to Ibiza to interview us for part of their Face + Body Insiders Explore: Biodegradable glitter and body confidence episode, and we created a glitter-only festival look from ASOS insider Alice. In Ibiza, our Summer residencies are the highlights of each and every week! Throughout the Summer season our weekly residencies at Simon Dunmore's Glitterbox at Hi Ibiza and Guy Gerber's Rumors at Destino see us making over party-goers with the latest looks and watching them dance the night away in our glitter and gems.

Getting invited by Nervo to come backstage at Ushuaia before their Nervo Nation performance has to make it into our roundup! It's not every day that the most successful female DJ duo in the world get in touch! We loved giving them an IN YOUR DREAMS makeover backstage at Ushuaia before their performance!

We love all of our weddings but Aishley and Sam's was really super special! The two brides looked absolutely stunning as they walked down the aisle in IN YOUR DREAMS at the stunning Ginger at Sa Punta in Ibiza! We embellished all of the bridal party for the ceremony and the glittered all of the evening guests too!

May was a super fun month where we sponsored makeup artist Anna Lingis at the L’Oréal Dreamland blogger event. We gave Anna lots of our IYD products which she used to give out free makeovers at the event. 

The fun continued when we were asked to makeover the cast of Made In Chelsea for their end of season finale! We transformed the cast into enchanted animals and they all looked absolutely incredible at their Secret Garden party.

To finish off the month we partnered up with Riley Rose for an instagram takeover using our products and face florals. We also teamed up with Paperchase to embark on a pride tour offering free makeovers in Paperchase stores across the UK to celebrate pride and promote our 'Everybody say love' message. Our MUA Ellis also created a tutorial on how to create your own pride-tastic looks which was shared on the Paperchase blog. 

In June we attended the Capital FM Summertime Ball for our third year back. This year we had three stands in VIP, general admission and hospitality where we were offering fully biodegradable makeovers. With 80,000 people attending we were kept super busy but our 25 makeup artists absolutely loved it and we hope to be back there next year for our fourth year running!

Summer saw the start of our UK festival tour where we set up our stands in the hottest UK festivals including Gottwood, LOVEBOX, Citadel, Elrow Town and Festival No 6. At Wilderness festival we made IN YOUR DREAMS history by having 3 stands including our brand new beauty salon! To help the crowds fit in with the fabulous themes, the beauty salon team were offering everything from full faces of makeup and hair braiding, to gel nails and glitter looks, as well as our usual embellishment and glitter services. We also collaborated with Friends of the Earth at Love Box Festival where we gave away free purely bio makeovers using our biodegradable glitters. 

Midsommar was such a highlight of our Ibiza teams calendar! The brainchild of Secret Garden Party's Jo Vidler teamed up with Elrow and Absolut....it was always going to be an incredible event at the stunning open-air venue Cova Santa! We are all about the victoria sponge bake-off and maypole dancing to techno! Our team just LOVED being part of such a different, fun and gorgeous party! We loved making over festival-goers and the incredible violinist Lettice Rowbotham who wowed crowds with her percussion skills! 

Our festival masterclass at The Curtain Hotel, Shoreditch was a sold out event and our guests loved learning how to create our top looks using IN YOUR DREAMS products. After a demo by our top MUA's our guests all got to have a go at creating the looks themselves and left the event with a bag full of IN YOUR DREAMS goodies.

July saw us launch into a new sector of the market with our brand new range of cream highlighters and pressed glitter balms. We had an absolutely amazing time in Ibiza filming our launch video (Watch it HERE) To celebrate the launch we threw another event at The Curtain Hotel, Shoreditch. This time for bloggers to check out our new highlighters and other products from our Waking Illusion Collection!

October saw some amazing collaborations with Selfridges and I Saw It First where we created a range of halloween inspired looks. We also created some brand new 'Shop the Look'  collections on our website where customers can purchase all the items needed to recreate some of our hottest looks. To launch this we worked with some smoking hot models including Fredrik Ferrier and created some amazing Halloween styles. 

Halloween is the party in Ibiza and our Ibiza team created some amazing looks on party-goers at the Mischief 'Misbehave from the Grave' party at Atzaro from our incredibly popular In Your Nightmares Boutique was so popular!

In November we launched the last two products in our Waking Illusion Collection; The Eclipse pressed Glitter Balm and the Dream Queen Gift Set. These two new products were perfect for the festive season and the response to the the launch was overwhelming! Our Christmas campaign was based around these two new products and we had some great fun capturing some new festive imagery for the website.

Our Christmas events went mad in December with bookings at Christmas parties with amazing companies such as ASOS, Zoopla, Pret A Manger, Vice, The Arts Club and more! We LOVE being booked for events and corporate parties and we had such a great time making over the guests. We also collaborated with ASOS and Dollskill for some incredible Christmas takeovers!
