​IYD top 5 moments of 2022

It’s that time of year where we look back at the last 12 months and reflect on the incredible things we have achieved as a team. We've had so much fun collaborating with some major brands and agencies, who share our vision of being truly inclusive within the creative space.

Not forgetting adding a few new faces to our growing team, interns Sarina Singh, Winnie Mwangi, Phoebe Berner and Visma Sisodiya and of course our new partnerships manager Polly Joshua!

It was incredibly hard to narrow these down to just 5… but here's our top moments of 2022!

SOUTHERN COMFORT

We've been working with SoCo & The Academy since 2021 and in the last 2 years have helped elevate some major moments in their marketing calendar! (see blog here for 2021 moments).

We kicked off 2022 with a Mardi Gras event for Southern Comfort in March, where In Your Dreams provided three of our very best Hair & Makeup artists to spread IYD magic to the 250 customers throughout the event. As well as providing 3 incredible content creators/performers, including their styling and make-up to elevate the event and fully fit the Mardi Gras theme. We also used our bespoke IYD x Southern Comfort stickers which we had made exclusively for this event.

We picked up with Southern Comfort again in autumn, providing them with content for their social channels - using familiar faces from our community with the aim to promote their new tipples for both Halloween and Christmas! We were also involved in an exciting shoot to promote something exciting, although this is strictly confidential until Jan!

GLITTERBOX IBIZA

Our Ibiza team worked allllll summer long with the incredible team at Glitterbox.

Our co-founder Ro joined our Ibiza manager Roisin (yes they have the same name!) to kick off the season with an Open Day to secure new talent, alongside a beauty shoot to promote our new Shapeshifter Collection which launched in XXX, using their gorgeous Glitterbox dancers as our models.

Glitterbox then returned to Hï Ibiza for a 22-date summer residency in may 2022, where Ro joined the Ibiza team to help with the opening which was an incredible evening. We provided our amazing Hair & MUAs throughout the whole season, with our beauty artists, spending their nights giving the Glitterbox dancers and customers that IYD glow up.

POP UP HOTEL GLASTONBURY

First Glastonbury since Covid, we were very excited to say the least, especially to announce our partnership with The Pop Up Hotel! We brought a Pop-Up Spa with our beauty salon + wellness experience to hotel guests so they could get a well deserved pamper and to keep those party feet going.

Guests were able to wake up a little later, take a dip in the hotel pool (yep, a pool at Glasto!) or have a little yoga session or massage and leave all of your beautifying to our fab stylists!

The set-up was stunning, our artists were situated in a beautiful white tipi where we were able to offer guests; festival make-overs, full-face beauty make-up, blow dries, braids all the way to manicures, massages, facials & yoga sessions (from @wearethirteen33) to ensure you are feeling and looking your best, even after a few late nights!

AMEX

We were so excited when Amex approached us in early 2022 for an amazing activation at British Summer Time at Hyde Park, where we took over their Icon Studio over three weekends with our gorgeous DREAMTEAM glamming their VIP guests in true IYD style. Amex were so happy with our offering they then booked us again later that summer for a similar set-up at All Points East!

WINTER PARTY

& last but not least, how could we not include our Winter Party? We wanted to end the year with a big celebration to thank our team and all of the brands we had worked with that year!

The night included a complimentary bar, serving Shake Baby Shake cocktails (and non-alcoholic options, of course), Doughlicious desserts treats and our team of beauty artists offering complimentary make-overs and hair styling. Each guest also went home with luxury gift bags packed with skincare from Hada Labo, perfume from Shay & Blue Ltd and lots more!

A personal highlight was our branded billboard outside the venue - which you might have caught our team taking 101 pictures in front of.

Our community was at the heart of the event with hosts, DJ’s and voguing performances.

We couldn’t believe the turnout! Which included a mix of artists, creators, customers, our core dreamteam and some of the incredible press and brands we’ve worked with over the years, including ASOS.com, KOKO, Glitterbox & BuzzFeed.
